Whenever you feel like you’ve said and played everything you wanted to on your track! The process of recording can go many different ways. A lot of the time you can’t prepare completely for the creativity to strike, it just does. At the end of the day that can lead to lots of fundamental cleanup work to refine all the creative choices you’ve made.

If we have also done the recording of the song, we already have the files and will work from wherever we left it! We will typically discuss goals at your final recording session for where you want the mix to be sonically when it is done. If you’re bringing a project that is already recorded, we can have a similar discussion in person if you’re local or via phonecall/email! File delivery for the project will also be discussed and planned out here as well!
