Tucked away in a tiny suburb just 15 minutes outside of NYC lies a new recording studio founded by musicians Gabe Valle, Nate Sander, and Tommy McCormick. Big & Tall Recording, originally from the Hudson Valley, has set up shop in Wood-Ridge, NJ to take on new clientele from the metropolitan area. Gabe, Nate, and Tom have each had unique career paths through music giving them the ability to share their musical experiences with each artist they work with. Together they have enjoyed success in their own careers leading them to perform in over 30 countries, play some of the worlds biggest venues, as well as appear in periodicals such as The New York Times, Downbeat Magazine, and even NPR’s Tiny Desk Series. The studio had come together after working on each others music and realizing they could bring input to artists who are focused on the quality of their music while not suffering the costs of expensive studios.

Gabe and Tom have now teamed up in the new studio to offer a unique recording process. They aim to produce high quality recording associated with high budget studios while offering the comforts of producing music with your friends. This approach leads to artists producing a higher level or productivity, creativity, and overall freedom.

Our head engineer Tom works tirelessly to ensure that every client is satisfied with their final product. Gabe produces each session while Nate remotely produces mixes and musical ideas. Their talent has led them to work on dozens of artists such as DMX, The Wonder Years, CJ Ramone, and Foxing. Big & Tall works with a shared vision for ultimately letting the artist create in an environment where they can most be themselves.
